Celsius Sweden AB Issues Recall of Celsius Oasis Vibe Products in Sweden Due to Possible Presence of Packaging Material in Cans

September 28, 2024 — Celsius Sweden AB today issued a recall of Celsius Oasis Vibe 355ml cans sold in Sweden with a best-by date of March 2025 due to a possible health risk. Products included in the recall are limited to the Celsius Oasis Vibe flavor sold in Sweden with lot number 5L01:3130 or a best-by date of March 2025.  No other Celsius flavors are subject to the recall.

The company received reports that packaging material associated with the can manufacturing process may have been found in one or more cans of Oasis Vibe sold in Sweden with a best-by date of March 2025.  An incident investigation has begun.

Out of extra precaution, the company has directed retail stores to immediately stop sales and remove all Oasis Vibe from store shelves while the investigation is being conducted.  Consumers who have purchased Oasis Vibe with a best-by date of March 2025 should discard the unopened cans or return them to the point of purchase for a refund.

The company has informed the Swedish Food Agency and will cooperate to execute the recall of the affected product. The company has not received any reports of consumer illness related to this recall.

Why is the product being recalled?

The company received reports that packaging material associated with the can manufacturing process may have been found in one or more cans of Oasis Vibe sold in Sweden with a best-by date of March 2025.  An incident investigation has begun.

How did this happen?

We are investigating how the issue may have occurred. We are committed to working closely with our manufacturing partners and the Swedish Food Authority to ensure we get to the bottom of what happened. 

Is Celsius safe to consume?

Yes. Consumers can continue to drink all other Celsius flavors, but as a precaution we are advising consumers to discard unopened cans of Celsius Oasis Vibe with a best-by date of March 2025 or return them to the place of purchase for a refund.

I think I’ve consumed a contaminated product—what should I do?

If you believe you may have consumed a contaminated product and you also feel ill, please consult a healthcare professional immediately.  No reports of consumer illness have been received.

What should I do if I have bought Oasis Vibe?

Discard and do not consume the affected product, which is limited to Oasis Vibe flavor with a best-by date of March 2025.  Alternatively, consumers may return unopened cans of Oasis Vibe flavor with the best-by date of March 2025 to the point of purchase for a refund.

How do I identify product included in the recall?

The recall is limited to Celsius Oasis Vibe flavor with lot number 5L01:3130 or a best-buy date of March 2025.  The lot number and best-by date are printed on the bottom of each can.

How can I get a refund? 

Consumers who possess Celsius Oasis Vibe with a best-by date of March 2025 may return unopened cans to the point of purchase for a refund.

How is Celsius ensuring the product is recalled and not for sale?

Celsius has directed all retailers in Sweden who sell Celsius to remove all Oasis Vibe cans from store shelves and to stop all sales of the flavor.  As an extra precaution, all Oasis Vibe is being removed from sale while the investigation is ongoing.

When will Celsius Oasis Vibe be available for purchase again?

We are working closely with our distributor and retail locations to return Oasis Vibe to stores once the recall of the affected cans is complete.
